Douglas J. Kirby – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Douglas Kirby is the CEO and founder of Tygart Technology, Inc. For more than 20 years, Mr. Kirby has provided the vision and leadership that has resulted in our consistent profitability and growth. Mr. Kirby has over 23 years of experience working with and running technology based companies that market products and services to both small and large business customers. His ability to create a vision and turn that vision into tangible and profitable products and services for Tygart stakeholders is one of his strongest qualities.
Prior to founding Tygart, Mr. Kirby worked for Touch Controls Inc., a startup company in California, assisting the CEO in raising capital, marketing, sales, and product development. During his career at Tygart, Doug has written business plans, raised venture capital, developed marketing and sales strategies, and developed product concepts and interfaces that were identified within industry as Best of Breed technology solutions. In addition, Mr. Kirby has established successful partnerships with multiple Fortune 100 companies. Delivering high value, customer centric solutions and services to clients while providing a quality and rewarding work environment for our employees defines his focus and performance driven leadership approach.
Mr. Kirby has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
John F. Waugaman – President
Mr. John Waugaman is currently President of Tygart Technology, Inc. and is responsible for the successful operation and growth of the company. He has 23 years experience as a corporate executive and program manager of high-tech software solutions for Federal and State government agencies. During his career he has directed and managed research and development projects with budgets over ten million dollars in the areas of biometric identification and analysis, simulation, e-government, intelligent software agents, and other emerging Internet technologies.
While at Tygart, he has overseen and supported IT projects for the US Intelligence Community, enterprise level e-government systems for various state and federal agencies and also managed the development of a medical training simulation for the United States Army. Mr. Waugaman is also an accomplished IT strategic planner, having authored several statewide plans, including the State of West Virginia E-Portal Strategic Plan, West Virginia 2002-2005 Technology Plan and West Virginia Data Interoperability Study. He also has advised West Virginia Governors Joe Manchin III and Bob Wise on various IT topics, having served on the transition teams for both. Prior to joining Tygart, Mr. Waugaman worked for ANSER Corporation, supporting numerous IT projects for the Departments of Defense, Department of Justice, and Department of Commerce.
Mr. Waugaman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Math and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wright State University.
Mary T. Gostel – Executive Vice President
Ms. Mary Gostel joined Tygart Technology, Inc. as Executive Vice President of the Services Division in February 2014. As Executive Vice President, she is responsible for delivering exceptional services to our customers and overall services growth. She leverages over 25 years of federal market experience and expertise to showcase Tygart’s advanced consulting solutions to solve our customers’ most complex challenges and improve mission performance. She has demonstrated credibility and success building and institutionalizing business development, sales and marketing processes and infrastructure for rapidly growing technology companies in a dynamic public sector market. She utilizes a practical approach to business growth with minimal performance risk and objectivity to achieve overall goals and continued success.
Prior to joining Tygart Technology, Inc., Ms. Gostel was Vice President of Business Development at TWD & Associates, Inc., where she led the expansion of its $60M executive-level, national security-focused federal business. She has exceptional business experience including Senior Vice President of Federal Sources, Inc., where she was responsible for revenue growth, profitability and operations of the market intelligence group. She also served in growth-oriented executive roles at Deltek, SI International, CACI and I-NET.
Ms. Gostel is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
